Follows English, Standard VIII (SCERT Tamil Nadu — Free Textbook Programme, Revised edition, current print)
A year of English for Class 8 on the Tamil Nadu state syllabus, following the SCERT reader through every prose lesson, poem and supplementary reading, plus the play. Each is taught over three short days: the lesson, then a sheet marked at once, then a recall round. The grammar the book sets unit by unit — parts of speech, adjectives, prepositions, connectors, tenses and question tags — is taught inside the lesson it belongs to. 69 daily sessions of 10–15 minutes.

Every third day is a recall day, and it deliberately asks about lessons from one, three and seven units ago rather than the one just finished. Getting those wrong is the point — a thing you have to reach for is a thing you still have in March.
