Follows English Second Language (Revised) — Fifth Standard, Parts I and II (Karnataka Textbook Society, 2026-27)
A year of English for Class 5 on the Karnataka state syllabus, following the KTBS English Second Language reader through all eight units and their poems. Each is taught over three short days, built around the competency the book names for that unit — present tense, naming words, numbers, past tense, pronouns, genders, prepositions, noun and adjective — with worked examples, lines to read aloud and a marked sheet. 27 daily sessions of 10–15 minutes.

Every third day is a recall day, and it deliberately asks about lessons from one, three and seven units ago rather than the one just finished. Getting those wrong is the point — a thing you have to reach for is a thing you still have in March.
