The IETTC explained: fees, scholarships and what you actually get

The International English Teachers Training Certification is a six-month online course from BRETS/LangVR. This article exists because the course page is a sales page, and a prospective teacher deserves the structure laid out without one.

What it is

Six months, online, with the curriculum mapped to Cambridge TKT Modules 1–3. It was designed by Nishad Ahmed, an Oxford University Press Resource Person and international Total Physical Response trainer.

You come out with two things:

1. The Cambridge TKT — registration is included in the course. The exam itself is conducted, assessed and certified by Cambridge Assessment English, not by us. See what the TKT is.
2. A BRETS/LangVR completion certificate — issued by us on completing the learning paths, assignments and curriculum projects, and verifiable on our certificate checker.

The compliance part, stated first

This is the section most providers bury, so it goes near the top here.

• The IETTC is a BRETS/LangVR curriculum that includes registration for the Cambridge TKT. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by the University of Cambridge.
• Nishad Ahmed serves as an Oxford University Press Resource Person. That is a credential of the course designer. It does not make the course or its certificate Oxford-certified or Oxford-endorsed.
• Cambridge TKT certificates are verified through Cambridge Assessment English's own portals — not through our verification system, which covers only the BRETS/LangVR certificate.

The fees, and how the scholarship works

The standing list price is ₹1,50,000. The actual fee is set by a merit scholarship, and the scholarship tier is decided by your rank in an aptitude test.

The total can be paid in equal instalments across the six months by card, UPI autopay or post-dated cheque.

The ₹149 aptitude test

Applying means sitting a timed online aptitude test, which costs ₹149, non-refundable.

Be clear about what that fee is and is not. It covers registration, the testing platform and rank assessment. It is not a deposit, not an advance booking, and it does not come off your course fee. If you do not enrol, it is not returned.

Your rank in that test determines which of the three tiers above you are offered. So the sequence is: pay ₹149 → sit the test → receive a tier → decide whether to enrol.

Who this is for, and who it is not

Good fit: a working or aspiring English teacher without a formal ELT qualification; someone moving into teaching from another field; anyone targeting international teaching where the Cambridge name is recognised.

Poor fit: someone who needs a B.Ed for a government or aided school post — the IETTC does not replace one. Also a poor fit if you want a short credential quickly; six months is six months.

Before you pay the ₹149
